A quiet location – right by the Firstbahn
Wonderfully situated amid gardens and right by the Firstbahn valley station, you’ll find First Lodge. It’s an ideal spot to soak up some sun and let your gaze wander over the beautiful Grindelwald mountain landscape. In our cosily furnished lodge with an “old-time” atmosphere, you can enjoy an authentic experience, drink in the nostalgic charm and let this wonderful world of simplicity cast its spell over you.
Located just a few steps from the First valley station, First Lodge offers accommodation, a communal lounge, a garden and direct access to the ski slopes.

Are dogs allowed?
Your four-legged companion is very welcome for a small surcharge.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
You can check in from 2 p.m. onwards using self check-in. We’ll send you an e-mail with the instructions for this one day before your arrival. Please check out by 10.30 a.m. at the latest.
Parking facilities
We have very few parking places available at the lodge. We request that you reserve a parking place in advance. You also have the Pfingsteggbahn public car park just a few minutes’ walk away. The address is: Rybigässli 25 in 3818 Grindelwald
Can I do my own cooking?
First Lodge is so central that you don’t need to cook for yourself. You have great restaurants in the immediate vicinity and there are also supermarkets.
Prices
Our prices are given in CHF and they include visitor’s tax and VAT.
General terms and conditions of contract
SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CONTRACT
These terms and conditions govern the legal relationship between you and Ysebaert Gastro GmbH. The booking confirmation sent to you by e-mail serves as the basis for this.
OPTIONS
Option dates are binding for both parties. After the option period expires, provided the customer has not confirmed, Ysebaert Gastro GmbH shall automatically have the reserved rooms at its disposal.
CANCELLATIONS OF HOTEL RESERVATIONS
We request that you inform us in writing as early as possible of any significant changes to your reservation. Up until 15 days before your date of arrival, you can cancel your reservation at no charge; if you cancel between day 14 and day eight, we charge 50% of the room rate; if you cancel seven days or less beforehand, we charge 100%.
LIABILITY/DUTY OF CARE
The hotel room and the common areas are to be used with the greatest care by the guest. The guest must pay for any property damage that may occur. The hotel refuses to accept any liability for theft, etc., or in relation to the services of third parties.
LOST AND FOUND ITEMS
Lost and found items shall only be forwarded on request by the guest. Ysebaert Gastro GmbH assumes no liability in the case of lost personal belongings or valuables. This applies both to the period of the stay and when items are being returned. The guest bears the costs and the risk when items are forwarded.
APPLICABLE LAW, PLACE OF JURISDICTION
The legal relationship between you and Ysebaert Gastro GmbH is
subject to Swiss law. Thun is stipulated as the place of jurisdiction.
