First Apartments

Holiday apartments in the centre of Grindelwald

You can find our three newly furnished First Apartments right in the heart of Grindelwald. We have given them names that aptly refer to the region – “Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau”. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Eiger from your balcony and leave the everyday world behind.

The First Apartments are managed by First Lodge, which is right next door. Each apartment has its own balcony with views of the surrounding mountains.

Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas of the premises.

KITCHEN

In each apartment, you will find a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, hob, kettle and there is also a coffee machine available.

LIVING ROOM

Each unit has a comfortable sitting area with a flat-screen TV.

BATHROOM

Every apartment has its own bathroom equipped with a shower and hairdryer.

SKIING & SNOWBOARDING

Ski hire, direct access to the ski slopes and ski storage facilities are all available from the apartment. You can go skiing in the surrounding area.

PARKING

Parking available for a fee, but only possible with reservation.

The Jungfrau apartment has a bedroom with box-spring double bed, kitchen, bathroom and a living room with a pull-out sofa bed (140X200cm). It also has an additional room with two single beds.

Keys/check-in

We can arrange a self check-in with you by emailing you the instructions in advance. The apartment will be ready for occupation from 2 p.m. onwards.

Pets

Pets are not allowed.

No-smoking rule

Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the whole apartment.

Quiet hours at night

Please respect your neighbours’ quiet hours at midday and at night-time.

Midday quiet time 12.00 noon – 1.30 p.m.
There is a general obligation to be quiet at night from 10 p.m. onwards.
Your neighbours would be grateful if you would observe these quiet hours at night-time.

Careful use

The tenant shall undertake to use the rental property with care, to adhere to the house rules and to have consideration for other occupants and for the items in the inventory. In the event of any damage whatsoever, the landlord must be informed immediately. The rental property may not be occupied by more than the number of persons specified in the contract. Subletting is not allowed.

Handover of the holiday apartment/check-out
On the day of departure, the holiday apartment must be handed over in a tidy condition, including any items of inventory, by 10.30 a.m. at the latest.

The tenant is liable to pay for any damages or missing items of inventory.

Bedding

The bedding is provided by the landlord, with all beds having been freshly made up when you arrive.

Towels/tea towels
These are provided by the landlord.

Inventory

Every item has its place.

Furniture must not be taken outside. Any damaged items must be reported to the landlord and will be charged.

Kitchen

Cleaning agents/detergents provided can be used to clean the hob.
Dishes and pans must be left clean when you vacate the apartment.

Rubbish

You must use the official rubbish bags for the rubbish.

Final cleaning

The apartment is to be left tidy on your departure. You must not leave behind any food in the cupboards or in the fridge. The final cleaning of the apartment, which is compulsory, is carried out by the landlord and this is included in the price.

General

When you leave the apartment, all of the windows must be closed and the apartment locked with the key.

General terms and conditions of contract

SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CONTRACT
These terms and conditions govern the legal relationship between you and Ysebaert Gastro GmbH. The booking confirmation emailed to you serves as the basis for this.

OPTIONS
Option dates are binding for both parties. After the option period expires, provided the customer has not confirmed, Ysebaert Gastro GmbH shall automatically have the reserved rooms at its disposal.

CANCELLATIONS OF HOTEL RESERVATIONS
We request that you inform us in writing as early as possible of any significant changes to your reservation. Up until 15 days before your date of arrival, you can cancel your reservation at no charge; if you cancel between day 14 and day 8, we charge 50% of the room rate; if you cancel seven days or less beforehand, we charge 100%.

LIABILITY/DUTY OF CARE
The hotel room and the common areas are to be used with the greatest care by the guest. The guest must pay for any property damage that may occur. The hotel refuses to accept any liability for theft, etc., or in relation to the services of third parties.

LOST AND FOUND ITEMS
Lost and found items shall only be forwarded on request by the guest. Ysebaert Gastro GmbH assumes no liability in the case of lost personal belongings or valuables. This applies both to the period of the stay and when items are being returned. The guest bears the costs and the risk when items are forwarded.

APPLICABLE LAW, PLACE OF JURISDICTION
The legal relationship between you and Ysebaert Gastro GmbH is
subject to Swiss law. Thun is stipulated as the place of jurisdiction.
