Alpine gem hut – our multifaceted jewel

Our Gemshütte is located slightly below our sun terrace. Originally a small chapel, we also convert it into a dormitory for 15 people. Through the large windows you have an unforgettable view of the imposing surrounding mountains when you first wake up in the morning. A night you will never forget.

How do I get to the restaurant?

Unsere warme Küche schliesst 1h früher.

Smoking

All First buildings are made partially of wood, so smoking is strictly prohibited on all of the premises! This no-smoking rule is for your own safety.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Im gesamten Haus wird Wifi von den Jungfraubahnen angeboten. Ausser in der Gemshütte.

Are dogs allowed in the restaurant?

Yes, dogs are very welcome.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Anreise ab 14 Uhr möglich, Abreise bis spätestens 10:00 Uhr.

How do I get to the hotel?

You can only reach our mountain inn by the Firstbahn gondola lift. Transport is not included in the price of your room. You will find the operating schedule for the gondola cableway at www.jungfrau.ch. It is a trip of about 20 minutes on the gondola and you can be here, enjoying the beautiful mountains.

If you come to Grindelwald by car, we recommend that you park in the Pfingstegg long-term car park. It is about 7 minutes’ walk from the Firstbahn.

If you arrive by train, it is a walk of 15 minutes or so from the train station to the Firstbahn, through the beautiful glacier village of Grindelwald.

Does the hotel have Wi-Fi?

We provide free Wi-Fi for our hotel guests.

What is included in the price of the room?

Duvet, Kopfkissen und Handtuch stellen wir kostenlos zur Verfügung, somit sind keine Schlafsäcke nötig. Hüttenschuhe haben wir leider nicht im Angebot
Ebenfalls ist die Kurtaxe und Tourismusabgabe bereits inkl.
Bei Anreise erhalten Sie die Gästekarte vom Grindelwald auf Anfrage, mit der Sie bei vielen Anbietern mit Vergünstigungen rechnen können.

We are sure we will manage to store your luggage temporarily. Just ask us!

Can I do my own cooking?

No, we have no cooking facilities for our guests.

When are the mealtimes?

Frühstück gibt es immer von 07:30 Uhr bis 10:00 Uhr.
Abendessen servieren wir gerne von 18:30 Uhr bis 21:00 Uhr im Sommer
und von 18:00 Uhr bis 21:00 Uhr im Winter.

What are the shower facilities like?

Wir haben Gemeinschaftsbäder.

We recommend making your booking by email or via our website so that there are no misunderstandings.

Diese Allgemeine Geschäftbedingungen regeln die Rechtsbeziehung zwischen Ihnen und dem Berggasthaus First GmbH. Als Grundlage dient die Reservationsbestätigung, welche Ihnen per E-Mail zugestellt wird.

OPTIONEN
Optionsdaten sind für beide Parteien verbindlich. Die Berggasthaus First GmbH kann nach Ablauf der Optionsfrist automatisch über die reservierten Zimmer verfügen, sofern der Kunde nicht bestätigt hat.

ANNULLIERUNGEN VON HOTELRESERVATIONEN
Wir bitten Sie, uns wesentliche Änderungen Ihrer Reservation möglichst frühzeitig und schriftlich mitzuteilen. Bis 3 Tage vor der Anreise können Sie Ihre Reservation kostenlos stornieren. Bei Schlechtwetter bieten wir bis 3 Tage vor der Anreise an, Ihren Aufenthalt bei uns kostenlos zu verschieben.

HAFTUNG/ SORGFALTSPFLICHT

Das Hotelzimmer, sowie die öffentlichen Bereiche ist durch den Gast mit grösster Sorgfalt zu benützen. Für entstandenen Sachschäden muss der Gast aufkommen. Das Hotel lehnt jede Haftung für Diebstahl, etc. und in Bezug auf Leistungen Dritter ab.

FUNDSACHEN
Fundsachen werden nur auf Anfrage des Gastes nachgesendet. Die Berggasthaus First GmbH übernimmt keine Haftung im Falle des Verlustes von persönlichen Gegenstände und Wertsachen. Dies gilt für die Zeit während Ihres Aufenthaltes, als auch im Falle von Rücksendungen. Die Kosten und das Risiko für den Nachversand trägt der Gast.

ANWENDBARES RECHT, GERICHTSTAND
Auf das Rechtsverhältnis zwischen Ihnen und der Berggasthaus First GmbH ist schweizerisches Recht anwendbar. Als Gerichtsstand wird Thun vereinbart.
